Everything You Need to Know About WhatsApp Polls

WhatsApp’s new features and updates that have rolled out over the past few months have made the messaging experience even better. Now, WhatsApp users can also conduct polls in personal and group chats to see what their friends and contacts think. Both iOS and Android users can use this feature. A survey can help gather the opinions of team members on any topic or idea, or it can be useful for making plans quickly. Like your conversations, the answers you send to the survey question will be protected by end-to-end encryption. Currently, Telegram and Facebook Messenger allow group voting. You can easily start using this new WhatsApp feature on your smartphone.

Step 2: Open the private or group chat where you want to create a survey

Step 3: For Android, press the paper clip icon at the bottom of the screen. For iOS, select the plus (+) icon at the bottom of the screen.

Step 4: Select ‘Poll’

Step 5: Type the question you want to ask, and the answer options

Step 6: Finally, tap ‘Send’ to share the poll

Up to twelve response options can be given to respondents in each survey, and these are not timed. Users can also see the answers chosen by others by tapping ‘View votes’.

The messaging app hosted by Meta has recently undergone several updates, rolling out new tools including the Call Link feature, the ability to send a message to yourself, and Companion Mode. Although some of these new features are not available to all users yet, WhatsApp plans to make them accessible to everyone in the coming days. The latest and most talked about feature of WhatsApp Communities. This allows users to have different groups under one “Community” to organize larger discussions.

“As communities, we aim to raise the standard of how organizations communicate with a level of privacy and security that cannot be found anywhere else. “Other methods available today require trusted applications or software companies to have a copy of their messages – and we think they deserve the high level of security provided by end-to-end encryption,” WhatsApp said in a blog post.
