Google Messages Will Soon Let You Respond to Texts With Any Emoji: Report
Google is reportedly testing more emoji reactions for RCS chats and SMS texts in its Messages app. It will allow users to reply to a message with an emoji without a smile, heart eyes, laugh, shock, cry, and anger emoji. However, now the search giant has added other emojis like WhatsApp, Telegram, and Slack. Users are able to react to a text with an emoji by simply holding and pressing the message. This will give users more ways to express themselves in an interesting way.
Currently, the new emoji reactions in Google Messages are limited to certain beta users, according to a reports by 9to5Google. However, after the testing is completed, it will probably be released to all users soon. The report states that one can respond to an RCS conversation by simply tapping and holding an incoming message in the Google Messages app. A new plus icon in the emoji options reportedly shows a full emoji picker you can use.
Additionally, users can also click on the emoji in the corner of a replied message and see the name of the recipient who replied to it, the report said. In the group message, all the words and emojis that the participants responded with are said to appear instantly just like in WhatsApp.
Recently, Google introduced redesigned toggles for the Docs, Sheets, and Slides apps on Android. It is designed as a pill that makes the replacement of Material 3 (M3) greater than ever.
The tech giant has also introduced new color schemes, as well as a longer and wider track. A redesigned interface is available in the latest version of the Google Workspace apps for Android. New changes with your important theme are available in the Editor’s Overflow menu in the Star, Suggested Changes, Print Layout, and Offline sections.
