No Phone 1 Android 13 update teased by CEO Carl Pei: Details
Nothing OS 1.5.0, an Android 13-based update for Nothing’s Nothing 1 Phone, was teased by the company’s CEO Carl Pei. A company official took to social networking site Twitter to share a screenshot of the About Phone section of the Nothing 1 device running Nothing OS 1.5.0. The screenshot shows the Android version number as based on Android 13 which gives users a clear indication of what to expect from the company.
Nothing CEO Carl Pei responded to users commenting on the Nothing OS 1.5.0 preview asking if there will be an upcoming beta version by saying “it’s coming soon”.
However, the company’s executive did not focus on revealing more details about the upcoming Nothing OS 1.5.0 beta for the Nothing Phone 1. The London-based smartphone recently released the Nothing OS 1.1.6 update, which includes camera improvements. . , bug fixes, and more. The update also enabled Jio 5G support for Indian users.
It is still not known whether Nothing will take a different approach with Android 13-based Nothing OS 1.5.0 in introducing custom features or stick to offering pure Android with the latest update.
However, Nothing Phone 1 users can be assured that the stock Android 13 features will come to the smartphone which can greatly improve the user experience on the only smartphone offered by the London, England company.
Back in August, CEO Carl Pei said that the company will not rush to update Android 13, and intends to deliver the beta version by the end of the year. He also said that the stable version of Android 13 for the Nothing Phone 1 will be released in early 2023.
