Rishab Shetty-Led Kantara Releases November 24 on Prime Video

Time entertainer Kantara will start airing on Prime Video from Thursday, the channel announced. Written and directed by Rishab Shetty, the Kannada blockbuster hit theaters on September 30.

The story of Kantara is set in a small community living in the forests of Kaadubettu in the southern coastal region of Karnataka. Weaving an interesting plot of conflict between man and nature, where death leads to a war between the villagers and evil forces and Shiva, the rebel protects his village and nature.

Shetty, who also plays the role of Shiva in the film, said he is excited about Kantara’s digital debut on Prime Video.

“Audiences from all over the world have shown great love for Kantara and I’m thrilled that with its digital premiere on Prime Video we will be able to take our labor of love and hard work to a wider audience around the world.” It’s a story that appeals to the whole world but the local fun will keep the audience enthralled till the end,” said the actor-producer of the film in a statement.

Producer Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films said that the banner always looks for emotional stories in an unusual yet relatable way like Kantara.

Rishab and the entire cast and crew have worked incredibly hard to create this beautiful film and we are very excited to take it to audiences worldwide with a special launch on Prime Video,” added Kiragandur.

The film will also be available to Prime members in Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu language dubs.

Sapthami Gowda, Kishore Kumar G and Achyuth Kumar also round out the cast of Kantara.
