Samsung Galaxy S23 Series to be launched in February 2023: Report


The Samsung Galaxy S23 series will reportedly debut in the first week of 2023. The South Korean tech giant is said to have rushed the launch of its next flagship series due to the shrinking smartphone market. By launching these smartphones early, the company is reportedly hoping to outrun the competition. In addition, the early launch is expected to boost the company’s performance in the first half of 2023. Samsung has reportedly fallen short of its 2022 sales target and has reportedly lowered its shipment target for next year.

according to a reports Through the South Korean book Chosun, Samsung plans to host the Unpacked event in San Francisco, USA in the first week of February next year. The South Korean tech giant is expected to launch the Galaxy S23 series at the event. The report suggests that the Galaxy S23 handsets will be available for purchase around February 17.

The report says that the smartphone market has been shrinking by 10 percent year-on-year every quarter. Samsung is reportedly pinning its hopes on the launch of the Galaxy S23 series to boost the company’s performance in Q1 2023.

Samsung plans to ship around 32.63 million Galaxy S23 series smartphones in 2023, according to a recent report. The high-end Galaxy S23 Ultra is said to account for 45 percent of these units. In addition, the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ can account for 38 percent and 17 percent of units, respectively.

The South Korean tech giant is yet to divulge any details about the Galaxy S23 series. However, there have been several leaks and rumors surrounding this list. A recent report suggests that this range will include a flash mode, which will increase the battery life of these phones.

The US variant of the Galaxy S23+ has also been spotted on the Geekbench website. This model is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, coupled with a Qualcomm Adreno 740 GPU. It is said to run on Android 13 and packs 8GB of RAM.
