To close its celebration of Stranger Things Day 2022, held on November 6 in the US, Netflix revealed that the first episode of the final season of Stranger Things is called “Chapter One: The Crawl.” The title was revealed on Twitter by what appears to be a script, written by creators Matt and Ross Duffer, aka the Duffer Brothers. Without context, Stranger Things season 5 title “The Crawl” sounds pretty vague. talking to Collider In the plot for the final season, creator Matt Duffer revealed that the upcoming chapter will primarily be set within the Hawkins, as they explore the history of the parallel, terrifying realities of the Upside Down universe. The place where the Demogorgon, Shadow Monster, and Mind Flayer attacked, before entering the real world and causing havoc. There is that moment where we realize in episode seven this year [Stranger Things 4] that it freezes over time,” explained Ross Duffer in the interview, emphasizing that Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) will play “a big part” in the final season. In the first season, Will was captured by the Demogorgon, and merged into a different version of Hawkins’ library.
