Watch the trailer for Netflix’s Khakee: The Bihar Chapter
Khakee: Bihar Chapter trailer is here. After dropping the teaser last week, Netflix has now unveiled the full-length trailer of its crime drama Neeraj Pandey, ahead of its release on November 25. Based on the book by popular Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Amit Lodha, “Bihar Diaries: The Story A True Story of How Bihar’s Most Dangerous Criminal Was Caught,” the series pits two men struggling on opposite ends of the law, in early 2000s Bihar. Bhav Dhulia, best known for Rangbaaz season 1, is directing the series, from a script written by Uma Shankar (Maharani season 1).
The trailer for Khakee: Bihar Chapter opens with a voiceover setting the premise: “Policemen and criminals, two very different people, from two very different paths, towards each other.” This theme continues, highlighting the difficulties of those who are depressed, who end up turning to society. As mentioned earlier, this new Netflix series draws a lot of inspiration from Lodha’s history, when a rational executive was in charge. Special Ops fame Karan Tacker plays Lodha. “In short, I want to make a difference, not a small one,” he said, entering Sheikhpura, Bihar.

The Khakee: Bihar Chapter trailer then cuts to show another side – one of the famous mob boss Chandan Mahto (Avinash Tiwary), as he succumbs to a life of crime. “If it’s a crime to speak out against injustice, then I’m a criminal,” he said during a political campaign, hoping to convince the audience to join his fight. Apparently, he succeeds, creating a group of criminals, armed with guns, shooting at the residents of Sheikhpura, until such attacks became a regular practice in the province.
“This honesty, fairness, courage – all these are expensive decorations of the police department,” senior officer Mukteshwar Chaubey (Ashutosh Rana) tells Lodha, actually downplaying the terrible events. “You don’t wear them every day.”
Angered by the ignorance, Lodha issues a deadline, saying, “Before August 15, we will free Sheikhpura from Chandan Mahto,” starting a standoff between the police and the gangsters, with heavy casualties on both sides. Set between 2000 and 2006 in Bihar, Netflix seems to have changed the names of the villains in Khakee: Bihar Chapter, as the original attack was led by Ashok Mahto, who is accused of mass murder and kidnapping.
Khakee: Bihar Chapter also stars Jatin Sarna (Sacred Games) alongside Mahto, Nikita Dutta (Big Bull), Ravi Kishan (The Whistleblower), Abhimanyu Singh (Sooryavanshi) , Anup Soni (Crime Patrol), Aishwarya Sushmita (Special Ops 1.5), Shraddha Das (Ek Mini Katha), and Vinay Pathak (Bheja Fry).
“When we decided to bring Amit Lodha’s story to life based on his book, we knew we had to work hard on the vision we were working on,” said director Bhrav Dhulia in a prepared statement. “At its core, Khakee: Bihar Chapter is a strong character drama that not only tells the story of good and evil but also how they work together to survive.”
Khakee: Bihar Chapter drops on November 25 on Netflix.
