Xiaomi Unfolding Smartphone Prototype Leaked via Twitter


Xiaomi unlocking smartphone prototype was leaked online recently. The prototype, teased by tipster Kuba Wojciechowski, shows a Xiaomi smartphone with the ability to fold outwards. The spotted prototype comes with Snapdragon 855 with X50 modem for 5G support. The tipster said that “the device was very secretive and very few units made it to the public”. A patent for an external foldable handset first appeared back in 2020. Meanwhile, internal testing of Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro has reportedly started in different countries in Asia.

In a recent leak by tipster Kuba Wojciechowski via Twitter, a prototype of Xiaomi’s upcoming smartphone has been spotted. As mentioned earlier, the prototype is said to come with Snapdragon 855 with X50 modem for 5G support. The tweet also revealed that the smartphone was “very secretive and very few units made it to the public”.

To recall, the patent for external winding machines was seen in 2020 by letsgodigital.

Meanwhile, the Chinese company is looking to launch the Xiaomi 13 series and Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro internal testing has reportedly started in different countries in Asia. The Chinese company’s smartphones are expected to launch in early 2023. The Xiaomi 13 was reportedly spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website recently. The Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro are tipped to feature a triple rear camera and a hole-punch cutout in the middle of the display to house the selfie camera. Xiaomi 13 Pro is said to get a 6.7-inch E6 LTPO display with 2K resolution.

Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro can sport curved displays. The Xiaomi 13 is expected to measure 152.8 x 71.5 x 8.3mm while the camera bump measures up to 10.3mm in size.
